Dominique Smith, Primary Therapist

Dominique is a primary therapist for BasePoint Forney working with teens to navigate trauma, emotional challenges, and co-occurring behavioral health needs. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Ouachita Baptist University.

Dominique has experience across residential treatment, outpatient services, and crisis response. She has created and implemented safety plans and crisis-intervention strategies for individuals with high-risk behaviors and is a skilled assessor, utilizing ASAM criteria for clients with substance-use needs and LOCUS assessments for primary mental-health presentations.

Grounded in trauma-informed and evidence-based care, Dominique is passionate about fostering emotional safety, resilience, and growth. She helps clients build insight and coping skills to support long-term healing and wellbeing.
