Robert Strayhan has been a practicing physician, since 1987. He is Board certified in Adult Psychiatry, by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Strayhan has completed subspecialty training in Forensic Psychiatry.
Dr. Strayhan’s primary clinical areas of interest involves the interface between psychiatry and neurology as well as transpersonal psychiatry. Dr. Strayhan is a decorated veteran of the United States Air Force. During his service Dr. Strayhan served as the Chief of Behavioral Medicine at Carswell Air Force base and in a consultant capacity to the Pacific Air Force Base Command Surgeon.
Dr. Strayhan has experience in a variety of extra professional activities such as Holotropic Breathwork, Sacred Ecstatics, Systema (a Russian Martial Art), Japanese Psychological Therapies. He has also completed a three year program under the auspices of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies
