Our Approach To Treatment
The teen experience is temporary but highly formative. How teens learn to think, grow, adapt, and manage their emotions will carry on through much of their life. Now is the time to develop healthy coping skills and a strong sense of personal autonomy.
By employing holistic and evidence-based interventions, we will help teens navigate traumatic experiences in safety and with compassion. Our signature teen-specific treatment approach sparks the innate capacity to heal and the ability to establish healthier habits.

Our Core Values
Compassion, respect, integrity, innovation, collaboration, and commitment. Every encounter with teens and families is characterized by these values. These are the core principles we live, work, hire, train, and treat by.

Treating Teen Trauma: Mental Health Treatment For Teens
Official studies reveal that approximately 14% to 43% of children and teens experience at least one traumatic event. Of those numbers, and depending on gender, 1% to 15% will develop PTSD. The rates are even higher for some forms of trauma.[1]
A traumatic experience could be anything from enduring abuse or witnessing violence to the loss of a loved one, serious illness or accident, or experiencing a natural disaster.[2]
By implementing a teen-centered trauma treatment program that has been uniquely designed to address the adolescent’s personal experience with trauma, we can activate healing and recovery. Now is the time to lay the groundwork for the rest of life without bearing the harmful burden of unaddressed trauma or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Individualized Treatment
Based on a comprehensive assessment, our highly skilled team of clinical providers will design a custom treatment plan tailored to each teen’s individual needs. This is the best way to ensure positive patient outcomes and lasting recovery success.

KendraBasePoint does a wonderful job of supporting students and families during a difficult time. They have a great treatment program and a wonderful school component built. I appreciate all the support given to Frisco ISD students.
Elizabeth HembyThey have an exceptional team and program. I worked with their Director of Interventional Psychiatry, Dr. Rita McCallan, at another facility. She is a caring and compassionate provider. She’s an excellent addition to their executive team. Their teen outpatient program provides top notch behavioral health services while tending to their education needs. Another aspect of this program I really like is that the Medical Director, Dr. Kimberly Robbins, is on site and specifically there to meet the medical needs of the teens.
