Rishun Beasley, LCSW

Primary Therapist

Rishun is a former foster youth who has dedicated her career to advocating for vulnerable populations. She received her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Texas Woman’s University and went on to earn her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Texas at Arlington and shortly after, received her license in social work.

With a strong foundation in social work, Rishun spent three years working with Child Protective Services (CPS), where she gained invaluable experience supporting children and families in crisis. She has experience working in psychiatric hospitals, where she provided care and support to individuals facing mental health challenges.

Rishun has trained and supported the next generation of social workers, focusing on foster care and child welfare as Title IV-E Coordinator at Texas Woman’s University.  She is passionate about giving back to the community and is committed to empowering students and future professionals to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families.

Rishun is excited to speak with students about her journey, the challenges and rewards of working in social work, and the importance of resilience and advocacy in the face of adversity.
