OUR TEEN PROGRAMS
BasePoint Academy is dedicated to helping teens ages 12-17 (18 if still in highschool) and their families overcome challenges associated with mental health and substance use. Our PHP and IOP Programs unique model integrates multiple modalities throughout its holistic curriculum. We believe in treating the whole child. Our program includes a structured curriculum where teen-students have access to both providers and peer-to-peer support opportunities.
We work to establish trust first within our own community and extend that with inclusion to the teen’s support system through family meetings and multifamily support opportunities. Our psychiatrist, Dr. Kimberly Dobbins believes in the impact of medical provider accessibility and response to a teen’s needs throughout the process and offices onsite at a full time capacity. Our goal at BasePoint Academy is for teens to feel respect and compassion as we steward them toward healthy decision making and boundary setting.
Our PHP/IOP Programs
These programs provide a safe comfortable place for your teen to receive treatment during the day and return home in the evening to practice the skills in real time.
Your teen will be supported by an interdisciplinary treatment team consisting of licensed therapists, registered nurses and a double-board certified child/adolescent psychiatrist.
If you are interested in getting help for your teen, please reach out for a complimentary assessment in person or a HIPPA compliant virtual assessment with our licensed professional counselor and other members of our treatment team.
We Involve the Teen’s School
Part of the treatment plan for your teen, is to include academics in the daily program. Education is very important to the success of every teen in our program. Our Education Counselor will be in contact with the school district where your teen is enrolled. We will create a plan for academic success in conjunction with you, your teen and the school administration.
